RT-80

Light, long and lean, that’s eight ton capacity RT-80.

Weighing only 16,000 lbs. the 4 Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Steer Broderson RT-80 is a versatile industrial rough terrain crane. A 54′ reach (61′ tip height) means this crane can perform significant lifts.

Below an RT-80 sits poised to lift, at a large Canadian pulp and paper plant. With the plant spread out over such a large area, and with such a great variety of maintenace jobs, let alone inclement Canadian weather, the RT-80 can get to the site and perform the lifts everyday.

Above, the RT-80 is lifted onto the roof of a parking garage to perform modifications to the structure. Its light weight and low ground pressure ideally suited the RT-80 to this finely-tuned application.

Like all Broderson cranes, the RT-80 is stable throughout 360 degrees; boom fully extended and the boom extension installed, on rubber. Manoeuvrable, versatile and capable, that’s the Broderson RT-80.

Here is Ruth Sembay, 86 years young operating the Broderson model IC-200, 15 ton carry deck crane.

Ruth, a wonderful grandmother, mother and all around great gal led a truly varied and interesting life. She told me that the only other machine with an internal combustion engine she had operated was a model ‘T’ pickup truck (which she couldn’t handle, so they bought the manure-spreader instead).

We set up the IC-200 for her (back in 1986) and a crane operator more natural the world has never seen. She had a ball and loved to brag about her heavy machinery operation prowess.

Ruth left this earth November 8th, 1996, and the universe is now sadly less one of its better souls. A terrific girl, Ruth is sadly missed, but kindly remembered.

Riggers EZ LIFTER gantries can be delivered to the site on one truck. Once at the site a gantry can be set up and ready to operate in less than two hours. No assembly is required. Just set the gantry on its tracks, plug it in and it’s ready to lift.

The EZ LIFTER is powered by electricity. No noisy polluting gasoline engine to make life miserable. Small electric cables connect the gantry to the control panel, avoiding the mess of hydraulic hoses.
